Summertime with a Baby!

We love Summer! But are you protecting your baby from the sun the right way? It’s important to protect your infant’s skin because it’s so sensitive. It’s best to shield them from the sun rather than using sunscreen in the first six months!

That’s exactly why we believe our hats are the perfect protection for your baby!

Try to avoid direct sun exposure and seek the shade during the sun’s hours of greatest intensity, between 10 AM and 4 PM. It’s recommended to stay in the shade, cover up with a hat and lightweight clothing that fully covers the arms and legs, and use the sun shield on your stroller.1

Car rides can lead to unintended sun exposure, too. While glass screens out most UVB rays, the chief cause of sunburn, UVA rays can penetrate windows. Like UVB rays, UVA rays damage DNA and can lead to skin cancer. 2

Once your baby reaches 6 months of age, its time to introduce sunscreens! We would recommend still keeping on a hat and staying in the shade as much as possible! We hope you’ll have a wonderful summer with your friends and family! Be safe!
